Clutch Repairs

Asbestos may no longer be used as a friction material on clutch plates.

The replacement friction material accelerates the wear to the mating metal faces. Flywheels now contain rubber inserts, and pressure plates are adjustable.

Cooling System

Header tanks and cooling pumps no longer use metal components. This is to reduce electrolysis and expensive cooling system repairs. Modern systems employ electronically controlled thermostats.
